Quality Construction
The Axle Keeper is constructed from strong
steel tubing. The roller has a ball bearing allowing one to operate at speeds
up to 10 MPH. The roller also has a durable rubber tire for contact with the
sidewall of your Jeep tire. The telescoping mechanisms are pinned with a simple
steel pin utilizing a bail type retainer.
Easy to Use
The Axle Keeper requires no tools to install
and use. After initial setup, it can be field installed in less than 3 minutes.
We recommend a maximum distance while in use of no more than 10 miles.
Innovative Design
The Axle Keeper is much easier to use than
other “skid” type devices. Once the tire/axle is pushed in all the way, the
Axle Keeper is easy to install and will not allow the tire/axle to extend away
from the vehicle.
Questions and Answers
Q. Do I need to raise my vehicle to install the Axle
Keeper?
A. The only time it is necessary to raise the vehicle is if the tire/axle has
been allowed to extend outward from the vehicle. If it has, we recommend it be
pushed back in as far as possible prior to installing the Axle Keeper. However,
installing the Axle Keeper does not require raising the vehicle.
Q. Will the Axle Keeper work with a Jeep that has
very large tires and a high lift?
A. Yes. The Axle Keeper is fully adjustable for all tire sizes, wheel widths
and offsets, and lifts.
Q. How can I drive my vehicle if it has a broken
axle?
A. Simply put it in 4WD and let the front axle “pull” your vehicle to a safe
and convenient location for repairs or transport. The Axle Keeper simply
retains your tire/axle while you drive the vehicle using the front axle to
propel the vehicle.
